Botany studies in the lower zone begins with a look at the life cycle of plants and presentations which explore the importance of plants to human life. Our students in the upper zone will build on their previous experience. They will develop an understanding of how the various structures of plants are specialized for different functions, how plants are essential to human existence, how plants adapt and respond to their environment. They will investigate further the basic needs of plants and how they meet those needs, studying leaves and photosynthesis.
