LOWER ZONE COMPUTER CURRICULUM

Our students in the lower zone will explore how to use word processing and other software to access the internet. Our learners will make use of these tools to aid their research and project reports, combining information technology with a range of cultural, linguistic and mathematical studies. The computer curriculum exposes students to:

  • Basic Keyboarding and parts of a computer
  • Basic Windows skills
  • Basic graphics and animation
  • Reading comprehension with Accelerated Reader
  • Database book searches
  • Digital geography and Digital timelines
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel
  • Digital photo manipulation and Digital sound recording and editing
  • Coding

UPPER ZONE COMPUTER CURRICULUM

Our upper zone students will learn to make use of technology to aid their research and project reports, combining information technology with a range of cultural, linguistic and mathematical studies. The curriculum includes:

  • Graphics, 3D rendering and Basic animation
  • Reading comprehension with Accelerated Reader
  • Database book searches
  • Digital geography and Digital timelines
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel
  • Digital photo manipulation, Digital sound recording and editing
  • Basic Internet usage: keywords, hyperlinks, URL’s, etc.
  • Internet research
